Graeme takes a new drive

Pictured taking delivery of his brand new Peugeot 308, is Graeme Long, PGA professional at Bromsgrove Golf Centre. Keen to improve on the fuel consumption of his previous vehicle, and gain some valuable funding as part of a longer term sponsorship agreement, Regal were pleased to advise him on which vehicle would suit his requirements, and his pocket.

Thanks to the technological advances in engine design, the Peugeot range can cost you considerably less to run over their lifetime than other similar vehicles in their class. Looking to the future, Peugeot has created a range of vehicles that are helping to bring down, not only the environmental cost, but also the ongoing fuel and vehicle excise duty costs by increasing the miles per gallon capability, and ensuring as many cars in their range fall into the lowest vehicle excise band.

Here at Regal, we offer a superb range of finance opportunities for golf Professionals and Driving Instructors, so if you would like to know more about an affordable way to drive a brand new Peugeot, talk to our Local Business Specialist, Chris Martin. Britain Dominates Manchester Track at the World Cup

Riders from Great Britain's successful Beijing Olympic team were out in front again as the hosts won all six golds up for grabs in Manchester, England Saturday on the second day of the opening leg of the World Cup.

Anna Blyth and Jessica Varnish of Great Britain were in action in the Women's Team Sprint race during day two of the UCI Cycling World Cup on November 1, 2008 in Manchester, England. And went on to take the gold in the team sprint for GB.

Jess Varnish at just 17 years of age, needed special permission from her high school in Bromsgrove to compete in the event, but with such a fantastic result, she can rest assured they made the right choice in allowing her to compete.

Jess now takes a well earned 3 week break, and with her 18th birthday on the horizon, there will surely be a double celebration for this up and coming local cyclist.

“Well done, Jess, Regal are once again very proud to sponsor your cycle training, and to be associated with such a talented young rider”

European Track Championships (Poland)

September 3-7
Day 3

Day 3 of the European Championships saw two more gold medals for the
GB Team.

Jessica Varnish continued her impressive championships by taking the
Junior women's 500m Time Trial title by the big margin of 4 tenths of
a second ahead of the Russian Baranova in the very impressive time of
35.364 seconds.

The GB Under-23 Pursuiters called upon their considerable expertise
and experience in winning the title with a strong qualifying ride of
4.08.590 and then going on to destroy the Russians in the final with a
blistering 4:05.568, a time which would have been in with a shout of a
medal at senior level not too long ago.

Meanwhile, Anna Blyth picked up a bronze in the women's Under-23
Sprint, beating Sandie Clair of France in her ride off final.

European Track Championships (Poland)

September 3-7
Day 4

Day 4 saw more good rides by the British riders, with gold medals for
Alex Greenfield in the Junior Women's Points race and Jess Varnish in
the Junior Women's Keirin, the highlights, though there were five
other medals for the team.

Junior Women's Keirin

Jessica Varnish established herself as the leading Junior Women's
sprinter at the championships with a front running display to win the
Keirin. Taking a leaf out the Chris Hoy book of race tactics, she led
virtually throughout and simply and successfully fended off the
efforts of the other riders to challenge her with speed.
